Coronavirus.  This is updated regularly as the situation changes.

We are continuing to carry out essential repairs and now we have also restarted our annual servicing availability. 

If you are expecting a visit from our engineer please ensure that you have downloaded and installed the NHS track and trace app as soon as is possible ( if you have a smart phone. ) 

We all need to minimise social contact as much as is possible.

We are  doing everything we can to  avoid the engineer who visits your house being a conduit for the virus to spread.  Your engineer will endeavour to always practice social separation methods.

This will help us to be able to provide essential repair services to you while also helping to protect you from inadvertently picking up an infection as an unintended consequence of the visit from the engineer.

He will always try to :

1. Minimise the amount of interaction with the customer and  Keep at least 4 meters ( 15 Feet ) away from them wherever it is possible.  ( the recommended distance of 2 meters applies to people outside in the open air and not sufficient inside a room )

Please keep the working area well ventilated. This allows for the room air to exchange with the outside air and reduces any possible concentration of static air in the room.

 2. He will wash his hands with soap and water and dry them ( using his own towel which he brings with him  )   before arriving and before  leaving and he uses a water free alcohol based  hand sanitizer between visits to customers throughout the day.

 Payment by card terminal is preferred but please wash your hands after handling the terminal. ( payment by direct bank transfer is also an alternative.

 3. All the other actions and advice which we are following is listed in our document on   Coronavirus.

  • If you are in a high risk group and have been told to self-isolate for 12 weeks then we will agree to coming to you if that is what you want. Please let us know when you book the job in and we will take this into account while in your home.
  • If you are in the Shielded group of people then we will not be permitted to come into your house except for emergencies. 
  • In the event that your Service engineer becomes infected with the virus then you will be contacted to rearrange your scheduled appointment for after the self-isolation period and is well enough to return to work.
  • In the event that someone in your household has begun to show the symptoms of the virus and you have to self-isolate then you must cancel your appointment with us, because we will not be allowed to enter your home. We will not charge a fee for cancelling the appointment at short notice because of the need to self-isolate.

  • If the engineer becomes ill or is tested positive with the virus then all the customers whom he has visited in the previous 7 days will be contacted so that they can self isolate for 7 days. 
  • On Wednesday 20th May 2020 The engineer was tested ( as a part of the random population survey testing program ) for the virus and the result was that he did not have it. 
A good rule of thumb to adopt: 
Because you can catch the virus and be infectious for a number of days before you notice any symptoms, the best way to interact with others is to assume that they are highly infectious and that you are vulnerable to catching it. This will help you to act in a way that best protects yourself and also best protect others from catching the visrus or passing on the virus.
